Jamnagar VIP Housing at Sunrise
Morning comes early in Jamnagar - about the same time every day. We woke at 5:00 AM for our trip to Diu. Diu is a special zone about 350km south of Jamnagar. It is a small island that was originally founded by the Portuguese as a fishing village. If anyone has been to Galveston you will know what it is like, of course less the TexMex. The roads are rough and the private bus trip will take about 9 hours.

We made the best we could of the long bus ride. We brought lunches and drinks and saw a lot of the beautiful Indian countryside.

Once we got there we were pleasantly surprised by the great accommodations the resort offered. A good pool, nice restaurant, and spacious rooms awaited us.

All fun things must end so off we go into the sunset to return to Jamnagar. Most are not sure if 18 hours of off roading in a bus was worth the 24 hours spent in Diu, especially since one of our memebers got gravely ill and had to remain behind (food poisoning). As far as I am concerned it would be a nice place to visit were it a bit more closer. The next trip we are planning is a trip to New Dehli on pogo sticks.
Cheers, Chuck
